KCR writes lyrics; 'Jai Bolo Telangana' launched

Telagana Rastra Samiti’s Chief K Chandrasekhara Rao shows off his another facet. The most powerful politician in Andhra Pradesh has written a song for a new film titled Jai Bolo Telangana. Directed by N Shankar, the film completely focuses on the aspirations of Telangana people and its rich heritage. N Shankar launched the movie today (August 26, 2010) with newcomers. K Raghavendra Rao, Murali Mohan, Gaddar graced the launch ceremony. But KCR writing a song for the film has become main attraction for the movie. The film has music by Chakri.

K Raghavendra Rao sounded the clapboard for muhuarat shot. Parachuri Gopala Krishna also attended and said he loves the rich heritage of this region. Professor Jayashankar, Chukka Ramaiah, K T R, Kavita, Ch Vidyasagara Rao, and several other leading Telangana leaders attended the event.

Sneha joins Nagarjuna in 'Rajanna' movie

Sneha has bagged a big film in Telugu after a long gap. After the debacle of Balakrishna starrer Pandurangadu , she didn’t get many offers. And her attempt to bounce back with a cop film, Bhavani IPS, not succeeded, as the said film has been put in a cold storage now. Yet, she got a good role in Nagarjuna starrer Rajanna to be launched shortly. The film is to be directed by S S Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad.

Kalyan Ram 'Katti' is in trouble

produces Kalyan Ram’s current film has decided to go Mahesh Babu’s way - like what producer C Kalyan did for Mahesh Babu’s film. When some other producer registered Khaleja title and the said producer refused to give the name to them, producer C Kalyan went ahead and named it as Mahesh Khaleja.Taking cue from this, Kalyan Ram has decided to do the same by putting Kalyan Ram’s name - Kalyan Ram Katti. But to their dismay, they came to know that film chamber no longer accepts such prefixes. Just couple of days back, Film Chamber has put a new rule that if a similar sounding title comes, the producers should bring No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the producer who originally registers it.

Per example: if a producer registered a title like Trupti first. And if another producer comes and tries to register Shakeela Trupti, he should bring NOC letter from ‘Trupti’ producer.

Kalyan Ram is now in fix and is on the look out for another title. So his new film is not Katti.

ram gopal verma compliments 'Sneha Geetam' team

Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma has some good words for the team of Sneha Geetam . He appreciated the director and producer for making the film sincerely with all the new cast. “I wish them good luck in their journey ahead,” he wished. He met the team in Hyderabad recently. Director Madhura Sridhar said this is a day that he would never forget in his life. “I have decided to become a director when I first RGV’s Shiva in my student days and since then I have been his ekalavya sishya. Getting compliments from him made me feel proud,” the film’s director said.

Producer Lagadapati Sridhar also thanked RGV for encouraging the team and lending some good words about the film. The film has been running in theaters.

Nikhil Alasyam Amritham' begins shoot

Nikhil of Yuvatha and Happy Days fame is doing a film for veteran producer D Ramanaidu. Titled Alasyam Amritham, the film went to the sets on Friday, August 20, 2010 in Vizag where major part of the film would be shot. Chandra Mahesh is directing the movie. Madalasha Sharma is playing female lead opposite Nikhil in this movie. The young actor is excited to do this film for prestigious production house – Suresh Productions.

movie Police arrest Ravi Teja’s brothers in drugs case

Raghu Babu and Bharath, both brothers of actor Ravi Teja, were arrested on Thursday evening (August 19) in drugs case, the Hyderabad police said. The Hyderabad Police caught them red handed while trying to buy drugs from a Ugandan citizen. Another person, a businessman by the name Naresh was also arrested. Police also seized the Ford Car that they are traveling and the car is booked in the name of Ravi Teja with the registration number AP13 L 1899.

Both Raghu Babu and Bharath also acted in couple of films too. On the tip provided by informers, DCP (West) Stephen Ravindra chased these four members and caught them red-handed.
